Terms of Use
Reference translation. This is an English translation provided for your convenience. The official version is in Japanese; if there is any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.
These Terms set out the conditions for using OkiWork (the “Service”). Please read them before use.
Article 1 (Application)
These Terms apply between the user and the Service in respect of the use of the accommodation, activity, rental-car and other booking services provided by the Service.
Article 2 (Membership registration)
Applicants register using the method prescribed by the Service. We may decline registration in the case of false statements or a past history of breach of these Terms.
Article 3 (Bookings — request-based)
All accommodation and activity bookings are request-based. A booking is not confirmed at the time of application; it is concluded upon the operator’s approval. We may have to decline depending on availability or operating status (in which case no charge is made to your card).
Article 4 (Fees and payment)
Accommodation is charged to your credit card upon approval or on a prescribed date (for example, 21 days before check-in). Activities are, in principle, paid locally (on the day). Displayed amounts, taxes and fees are shown as a combined total on the booking screen.
Article 5 (Changes and cancellation)
Changes and cancellations can be requested from My Account. Cancellation fees follow the policy set by the accommodation, activity organizer or rental-car operator. For details, please see the Cancellation Policy.
Article 6 (Prohibited acts)
Violations of law, infringement of the rights of third parties or the Service, false bookings, repeated no-show cancellations, and other acts the operator deems inappropriate are prohibited.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
The Service is not liable for damage arising from causes not attributable to the Service, such as natural disasters or transport disruptions. Liability relating to the travel business is governed by the Travel Agency Terms.
Article 8 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by Japanese law. In the event of a dispute, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Service shall be the exclusive agreed court of first instance.
